Different Stances Of The Character

Here are a few sketches of different positions the character could possible stand in.

Hair Styles

Different eyes for the characters

Develpment

The player will then have to choose a skin colour. After the preparation stage is done, the player's character will then be placed into a room with a wardrobe in it. The player will then have to click on the wardrobe to open it up. They will then have to look through the wardrobe, once the cursor has ran over an item it will then be enlarged so the player can choose wisely. Once an item has been clicked it will appear on the character until the player is satisfied.
This game is aimed at children 5 years and over. The objective of this game is a little different from the concept ideas. The objective in this game is to build a character of the players choice. The player will firstly have to put their name, age and a description about themselves into a box that will appear. They will then have to choose a body type, this is where my game differs from other games as you can choose what body type you want your character to have. After doing this the player will then have to choose an eye shape and colour. From there they will have to choose a hair style and hair colour, the same choice will have to happen with the type of smile the character has.

Concept 3- The Dressing Up Game

This game is aimed at 5 year old and above. The objective of this game, is in the title really. TAKE OVER EARTH. The player will be the aliens from outer space and will have a certain time scale to fulfill the missions and take over earth. If the objective is not completed within this time the player will have failed their mission and earth will have won by shooting them down. During this time the player will have to achieve a few things to be successful. The first thing is maneuvering out the way of the British Army's attempts to shoot them down (a tank will be a the bottom of the screen and be seen shooting at the spaceship). At this point the player will NOT be able to shoot back at the enemy. Time bubbles will within some time- the player will have to collect theses to gain more time. If a certain time limit is met more bubbles will appear (theses won't be time bubbles) these will be ammunition- at this point the player will be able to shoot back at their enemy's. The winner is determined by who gets shot at the most during the time scale.

Concept 2- Take Over Earth

This concept would be aimed at small children aged 5 years and above. The aim of this game is to get the fairy back to her castle without getting shot down by the arrow shooting bees. During this adventure the fairy will have to overcome certain obstacle's. The player would have to start of by making the fairy fly- making this happen would be easy as the fairy has a balloon on her back. If the balloon was to get burst by the bad guys (the arrow shooting bees) it would get harder to keep her flying, i.e. the player will have to keep hold of a certain button. Then the player will be introduced to the bees and will have to use her magic wand to fight them off. There will also be a target practice round where targets will appear over the screen and the player will have to shoot these for extra points. There will also be drops that the fairy will have to jump over, otherwise she will fall into the spikes. This will be when the game ends,

I have also looked into different types and styles of storyboards. The top left is a fashion storyboard, it shows multiple styles of clothes, ready for the runway.

I thought I would research different storyboards as I will have to do quite a few illustrations for my game and other different concept ideas. I will do this to previsualize the motion and interactive parts of my game. This allows me to work out any screen play, camera positioning and also if my idea will work.

Here are some more animations. The five in this page are all music videos. The videos have all been done using different methods and all the characters have been given different persona's to give them more personalities

I thought I would start this project by researching different types of animations so that I
could get a feel of the different aspects within animation. Like the characteristics of characters, the way they move, blink, speak ect.
